Friday night. The sun that we completely missed the past few days came back in the afternoon and with it the birds chirping and the hope of a pleasant Walpurgis Weekend. We rounded the week by checking out the new restaurant on the ground floor of the Waxholm Hotel. The former “Kabyssen” is now “Lilla Strand” (“little beach”), a restaurant with a nice relaxed decor and good food. We probably tried everything on the first page of the menu and everything was super! I really recommend all our guests to go there! Best of all is that “Lilla Strand” will be open year round, so I look forward to many enjoyable times there to come, day and night, !
Now I need to start packing for tomorrow’s market. We will have a stand at “Lägret” in conjunction with “Strömmingsloppet” – our local running race – and sell things from “the Vaxholm fabric”, a pattern depicting Vaxholm that we designed a number of years ago. Now there are both towels, pillows, trays and cutting boards in the assortment. Please come and visit us there! When you get tired of the market and finished watching the race, I can tell that Café Hembygdsgården has premiere for the season just tomorrow, Magazine opens its outdoor seating and it’s free to go by cable ferry across to the Citadel all weekend. In addition, the sun as I said will shine, so it can be a really great weekend!
