I usually make my own breakfast granola to our guests. That way I know what is in it, and that it’s both fresh and wholesome. I usually use organic ingredients whenever possible. I think that’s important. There is of course much greater polluters tan us, but I think that if we all pull our little straw to the stack we make a big difference together.
Therefore we have waste separation, both at our home and in bed & breakfast, and use organic ingredients in our breakfast baskets. For granola, I usually start with a recipe that I got one Christmas from Jesper’s sister Lina and free style a little bit after the season and mood. Today I ended up with a whole lot of different seeds and grains, some nice oil for crispiness, coconut flakes and honey for sweetness and so “swisch” in the oven for a little to get that roasted flavor. Yum! Try it! Making your own granola is much easier and less work than is often believed. The fact that your whole house will smell like a smaller bakery for the rest of the day is just a bonus.
