It’s a bit slower here at B & B now when I’m on crutches. The healing of the muscles after my hip joint surgery needs its time and I spend the days mixing between resting, and handling bookings in the computer. So much practical work can’t be done though, since I can neither lift nor bend, and then those crutches that I need to use as soon as I want to go anywhere…
During the week we got delivery with new products – lovely lip balm, hand creams and soaps – from L: a Bruket. It has really climbed my fingers to open the boxes and unpack, but since the boxes were both big and heavy they kindly had to wait inside the door until today when Jesper could help me to carry them into the store.
We definitely have Vaxholm’s smallest shop here in our backyard. It can’t be more than maybe 4-5 sqm. At bit too small most of the time, but when unpacking stuff on a leg it’s gold! It’s just to put the crutches aside and hold the walls and the decor when moving around;) It took its time, but it felt really good to be out there and work for a while.
Since I was in the store anyways I took the chance to move around a bit on the shelves as well. Just before the surgery, we had a delivery of new beautiful linen from my favorites Växbo Lin in Hälsingland in northern Sweden and environmental friendly scented candles made by hand on Swedish rapeseed wax from Yvelis, a local company not far from Vaxholm. When delivery arrived, I was too busy with other stuff, so I basically just put everything somewhere where I could find space, but now I got everything in order on the shelves. Great now when the Christmas shopping is about to start.
Zelda kept me company all the time when I was in the shop. Ever since the surgery she has been watching over me to make sure I am ok. Or perhaps she was jst keeping an eye on Zack who a bit reluctantly scratched leaves in the garden.
Now I’m back on the couch again. Jesper is cooking in the kitchen. The neighbours are coming over for dinner. I’m really looking forward. Lucky me who have a husband that loves to cook and nice neighbours who just like me loves to eat all he cooks. I wish you all a just as lovely Sunday night!
