Friday and pinch day, in the most beautiful time I know. When the fruit trees and bird cherry are blooming and the lilies are just striking out. Today, there is a day in the garden. This spring, when it was snowing as late as now in May, everything has really said ”poff”. Not that I mind — it’s lovely — but it’s hard to keep up when turning from bare trees and snowy winds to summer heat and full greenery from one day to the next. At the moment, weeds have a great lead on my garden ambitions, while the pallet cages where I plan to grow mangolves, radishes and other tasty things are still empty. If it’s going to be anything at all of them this year, I really have to set off now. I have asked my friend Catja who has the company ”You say I fix” (what a perfect name isn’t that if you are selling a helping hand?) To come and work with me, so hopefully we get to a real rush start.
Jesper will build a new garden table. The one we had earlier ripped under the tarpaulin this winter. But it does not matter much, it was a bit too small anyways. Now it’s going to be a nice 6-sided table that seats up to 12 people. He made a similar but smaller to B & B’s patio a few weeks ago. It turned out really good, so I’m looking forward to getting one to our terrace too.
We’ll see how far we get. It’s really no hurry. The worst thing that can happen is that the weeds can grow a little bit taller and we’ll drink the coffee on the stairs instead. And what does it matter? Actually. I love coffee on the stairs.
