Saturday’s are often equal to time off and lazy days, but not here at the Bed & Breakfast. Guests check out, and others check in. Like any day of the week. Apartments must be cleaned and breakfast baskets be prepared. But what does it matter when I have the best job in the world, and the family around me while I do it? This Saturday, we have also managed to squeeze in a meeting with a carpenter to fix the new patio for guests in the Family Apartment and also freshen up our fence to the street. And so I and Jesper worked on the Guest house, the new accommodation that we will be opening up soon, just a few blocks away. Now, most of the furniture are in place and shelves, curtain rods and lamps hang where they should. I’m so thankful that Jesper can help me with all that stuff. I think it’s such a hazzle to drill, plug and screw … The small things that still still remains, I can fix by myself next week, but then everything should be ready. Then I promise that I will show you some more pictures from there.
Now Jesper and Zelda are chilling on the couch. In just a while the neighbours are coming over for some dinner and movie night. Just what I feel like after a day like this. Jesper will try out his new favorite toy in the kitchen – a cutting machine from a former general store – so it will be carpaccio and homemade French fries if I heard right. With a glass of red to go with it there is a major risk that I will fall asleep before the movie starts, but it’s definitely worth it!
