There is something with sharpened pencils and color sorting that really gets me going. A little screwed maybe, but I love it when it’s in order. Jesper (my husband) says that it is probably on the brink of insanity. But it must be for him. I still think it’s nice when things are where they should be when I want to use them, without having to spend time searching.
Here at home, we have a special room for crafts and creativity. It brings together everything from pens and paints to paint cloths, fabrics, yarns, pencils, clay and leather. A plant press has also tricked it’s way to the shelf and some rubber and castable in case we get for us to cast something It’s great luxury to know that everything (well almost) you want are there when creating whim. But what a creative chaos there is when we all are in and the rake in the drawers!
So this weekend, I sorted, arranged and organized. Now, watercolor pencils is in one jar, sketch pencils in another, the childrens more simple colored pencils in a third … Old, dried-up paint and glue are on the way to recycling and scraps of fabric that are too small to make anything of are purged. Wonderful! Not without me becoming eager to start off with one or another new project. But it will have to wait until tonight, because today it’s full speed ahead with the job.
New guests will check-in, orders in Vaxholm fabric and Kinnekulle fabric (which we also design and sell) to be delivered, and I shall also create a new ad for Destination Vaxholm. It’s time to start promoting all the fun stuff happening here during the Walpurgis weekend. Imagine that soon we are there! Have a great Monday everybody!
