When I was a child my mom used to tune in the musical crossword ”Melodikrysset” on the radio every Saturday morning. Now I do the same. It’s not Saturday without it. At that time I thought the songs were old-fashioned and the crossword almost impossible to solve. Nowadays I solve most of it. I do not know if that says most about me – that I’ve become old – or if the program changed to me more up to date… But never mind! It’s a nice start to the weekend anyway.
Here in Vaxholm is a gray and windy day today. The beautiful yellow autumn leaves singles down by the wind, landing on our lawn and reminds me that I have a lot left to fix in the garden before it’s ready for winter. I didn’t manage to do even half as much as I hoped to last weekend, so today it will be me and the garden again. Not that I mind. It will be really nice to pull his cap over his ears and go out and rake and dig a little.
Later tonight is also the ”Oktoberfest” on Hamnkrogen. For the third year in a row, they take on their lederhosen and Tyrolean hats and invite to an evening with German sausages, sauerkraut, apple strudel and good beer. Do not miss it if you are in the neighbourhood!
