At-home-lunches and dinners in the Greenhouse

In our quiet courtyard you will find the Greenhouse, our dining room and at-home-restaurant. Here we offer private lunches and dinners for parties from 10 up to 16 people. When the wind winds around the knots we light a fire in the stove and let it spread its heat. If the spring sun shines, we swing the doors open to let the fresh air in, or move the dinner to the inner courtyard under the shade of the cherry tree. The food is served on large dishes and common bowls directly on the table so that you can serve yourself as much as you wish, share and send the dishes around the table. Just like at home but without having to either cook or take care of the dishes.

Would you rather be part of cooking? Welcome to the kitchen! We also offer cook-alongs. The number of ”cooks” is then limited to a maximum of 4 people. But of course you can invite more guests to enjoy your meal.

Lighter dishes (lunch)

Warm smoked salmon with new potatoes, Swedish cheese pie, roe sauce and salad
New potato salad with asparagus and warm smokes salmon
Fish and seafood casserole with aioli, home baked bread and cheeses
Tomato soup with parmesan and puff pastry sandwich
Green pea soup with mint creme
Pizza bianco with warm smoked salmon, pickled red onions, crème fraîche, roe and dill

Starters (dinner)

”Toast Skagen” (Swedish shrimp toast) with hand peeled schrimps
Smoked fried reindeer with strong Swedish cheese, horse radish and flat bread crisps
Small plate with an assortment of pickled herrings, crisp bread and cheeses from the local cheese factory ”Ostmakeriet”.

Main course (dinner)

Fish and seafood casserole with aioli, home baked bread and cheeses
Roast beef from reindeer with parsnip, roasted potatoes and red wine sauce
Oven baked char with fennel crudité and dill pesto
Boeuf bourguignon with almond potato puree, parsley and forest mushrooms

Classics

Vaxholm classics: Fried herring with mashed potatoes, lingonberries and pickled cucumber
Swedish classics: Meatballs with gravy, potatoes and lingonberries

Desserts

Tartlet with berries and vanilla cream and saffron ice cream
Chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream and raspberry mirror
Panna cotta with compote of the season – rhubarb, apple, cloudberry
Season’s pie with home made vanilla sauce

Prices start from 395 SEK per person for a two course lunch or 745 SEK per person for a three course menu. Beverages excluded.
Serving fee 1500 SEK will be added.
